SquashPal Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
1. Introduction
SquashPal (“SquashPal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application that allows squash players to upload match and training videos in order to receive instant, personalized coaching advice powered by artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the SquashPal mobile application, our related websites, and any services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information responsibly. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information about you in various ways when you use the Services. The types of information we collect include:
2.1 Account Information
When you create or update a SquashPal account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, username, password, preferred language, and any other information you choose to provide in connection with your profile.
2.2 Video Content
When you upload squash-related videos to the Services for analysis, we collect and store the video content and associated metadata (such as upload date and time, file name, duration, and technical information needed to process the file). The videos may contain your image, the images of other players or individuals, and other information visible in the video (such as your squash court location or club branding).
2.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information about how you access and use the Services, including the features you use, coaching reports you view, the time and duration of your sessions, in-app actions you take, and performance metrics related to how you interact with our video analysis tools.
2.4 Device and Technical Information
We may collect information about the device and software you use to access the Services, including device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, app version, IP address, browser type, and diagnostic data such as crash logs and performance data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
(a) To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including processing uploaded videos and generating personalized coaching insights and recommendations.
(b) To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and provide customer support.
(c) To improve and optimize the Services, including training and refining our AI models, enhancing video analysis accuracy, and developing new features that help you analyze, improve, and master your squash game.
(d) To personalize your experience, including tailoring coaching feedback, recommendations, and content based on your activity, skill level, and preferences.
(e) To communicate with you about the Services, including sending administrative messages, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
(f) Where permitted by applicable law, to send you marketing communications about features, offers, and updates that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
(g) To monitor, detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and other harmful or illegal activities, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Video Data & AI Analysis
Our Services rely on advanced video processing and AI-powered analysis to provide personalized coaching feedback. In connection with these features, we:
(a) Process your uploaded videos to detect movements, strokes, footwork, positioning, and other match or practice details relevant to your squash performance.
(b) Generate derived data and insights from your videos, such as performance metrics, patterns, heatmaps, and coaching suggestions. These outputs may be stored along with your account.
(c) Use your video content and derived data, in de-identified or aggregated form where possible, to train, evaluate, and improve our AI models and analysis tools so that the Services become more accurate and effective for you and other users.
(d) Restrict internal access to your identifiable video content to team members and service providers who require such access to operate, improve, or support the Services and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
We do not sell your identifiable video content. We may, however, use de-identified or aggregated video data and performance statistics that do not reasonably identify you, for research, analytics, and product development.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share your information with third parties in the following circumstances:
(a) Service Providers. We may share information with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, data storage, analytics, customer support, and email delivery. These service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations.
(b) Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights. We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to: (i) comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests; (ii) enforce our terms and policies; (iii) protect the security or integrity of the Services; (iv) protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of our users or others; or (v) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
(c) Business Transfers. In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar event, we may transfer or share some or all of your information to another company, subject to standard confidentiality protections. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that any successor entity continues to protect your information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
(d) With Your Consent. We may share your information with third parties when you give us your consent or direct us to do so, for example if you choose to connect your account with a club, coach, or training partner and explicitly authorize information sharing.
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense of exchanging it for money. Where applicable law defines “sale” more broadly to include certain types of sharing, we will comply with any related notice and opt-out obligations.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.
Video content you upload may be retained for the duration of your account, unless you delete the videos within the app or request deletion, subject to any technical or legal limitations described below. We may retain certain derived data and aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you for analytics, research, and product improvement purposes.
We may also retain backup copies of data for a limited period of time for business continuity and security purposes. When we no longer have a legitimate business need to retain your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because it has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your information and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, secure storage practices, and regular security reviews.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for restricting access to your device. If you believe your account or interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately using the information in the “Contact Information” section below.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13 (or a higher age if required by applicable law in your jurisdiction). If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child contrary to applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as practicable.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us using the information in the “Contact Information” section below so that we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal information. These may include:

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or data protection regulator in your jurisdiction.
10. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, software development kits (SDKs), and similar tracking technologies to collect and store information when you interact with the Services. These technologies help us recognize you, remember your preferences, understand how you use the Services, and improve your experience.
